  1. Hong kong is a tiny British colony off the
  2. coast of CHINA. It will be taken over by the
  3. Chinese in 1997. Part of it is a small 
  4. island, and the rest is a narrow strip of
  5. land called the New Territories, which is
  6. actually part of mainland China. Hong Kong 
  7. has been governed by the Britain since 1842.
  8. Hong Kong has a busy harbour surrounded by
  9. mountains. The capital of Hong Kong is 
  10. Victoria. Hong Kong is a fascinating 
  11. mixture of East and West. The people live by
  12. trade, fishing, and farming. Tall apartment
  13. buildings have been built to house them,
  14. but there is still little room for the 
  15. millions of people who live there.
